Update- Ohio Style

I have been home all week and I haven't hardly posted at all! I was thinking I would try to post on here once a day and obviously that isn't happening. ANYWAYS, things are going pretty darn good for David and me so I am going to write a list of things we have been up to.

Church-
1. David and I gave a talk about two Sundays ago. That was fun I like speaking in sacrament meeting. I think David was a little irritated/ disappointed that I "volunteered" us to speak :) I just wanted to get it over with and move on. BUT because I did volunteer us and David doesn't really like speaking I took up as much time as I could, also he had a BIG test the next day so not a lot of his time went into his talk, which was about 20 min! That is pretty impressive I was proud of me.

2. We are in nursery. For me I was definitely disappointed because I haven't been in any calling BUT primary since I graduated high school so it was frustrating. However I do like it even if sometimes it makes me a little sad because the little guys in there are about Colin's age. I will have a post with some pictures of the cute-ness that goes on in Nursery soon so you will want to watch for that.

3. Next week we get to go to Sunday school and Relief Society/ Priesthood! Jailbreak, lol.

School-
1. David is doing great! Next Monday he will be taking his 4th test already. He got a high pass on his first, honors on his second and a pass on his third. It wasn't what he was hoping for but considering that is the #1 failed test for first years we are grateful that he didn't fail too. He studies lots.

2.  As for me I'm hoping to maybe go in January or some time next year. I really enjoyed the blocks I took last year and hopefully I will be able to get an associates before David finishes medical school.

Cosmetology-
1. I have a job!!
2. I have to retake every test! Uhhhhhhgggggggg, I know I have already complained about this but I'm still really irritated. The plus side is I finally received my permit in the mail yesterday and thankfully they gave me a test date as well. NOVEMBER 3rd, it's coming up FAST but I'm glad. I was afraid they would send me my permit and I would still have to register or do other things to set up a test date.

Now the trick is to figure out a way to practice boards at a local school. If that works out I will be able to get in on the little hints/ tricks to helping me pass the practical. The practical isn't really difficult, Idaho's wasn't either. The things they want you to do are easy BUT it's all the little details they focus on that make it stressful. For instance, you have to sanitize everything before and after. Sounds easy right? Wrong. It honestly becomes overwhelming because you have so many things to focus on. Last time I was so focused on my sanitation that I forgot to blend the bangs of my hair cut.... who forgets the bangs!? In reality I NEVER would have forgotten that but my mind was 100 places at once and I was being timed. My only goal is to pass this test with a better grade than the one I got on Idaho's state test. If I remember I got an 86 something on the practical and a 92 on the written so both of those should be easy to beat.

Home-
1. We love owning our own home! Or rather, we love having a home, because we most definitely have a mortgage so we don't "own" it. We got our mortgage bill the other day ($353) NO one can rent for that and have as nice as a place as we have. We do still have a Condo fee which is $100 a month but that takes care of the yard, snow shoveling, our water bill, and the upkeep on the outside of the building.

2. There have not been anymore upstairs leaky toilet situations, as soon as I say that there will be another one so knock on wood for me. Anyways we are hoping to fix up the bathroom a little this summer (hopefully that will be covered by our upstairs neighbor since it's not really our fault we got leaked on), do some wallpaper removing and painting and some simple little things to make the place feel more like ours. We LOVE it.

That's all the basic updates for now, sorry there aren't any pictures but seeing how my last post was mostly pictures I hope you can forgive me.
