And One More Makes...

32! That's right after this last weekend I have now FINALLY added New York to my list of visited states. David and myself have been trying (super unsuccessfully) to get to Palmyra since our friends wanted us to go with them in 2011, but our schedules (medical school and law school) were impossible to coordinate. So when David's mom asked us if there was anything we have been wanting to do or see, the trip to Palmyra was the first thing I listed.

In the car about to hit the road.
It was a crazy trip because we left around 5pm on friday and didn't get home until 7 ish on Sunday... translation- LOTS of driving to and from, back to back. BUT it was worth it because we got to visit Joseph Smith's family farm, the temple, the sacred grove, the hill comorah AND Niagara Falls. Sadly it was just the American side, but David and I are planning to tackle the Canadian side of Niagara falls later when he FINALLY has some free time.
Being entertained by Grandma.
Totally awesome angry bird hats. Davie actually left it on for 2 seconds while we took pictures. BONUS!
I was going to stuff all of the happenings from over the weekend into one post, BUT Davie is in bed and David is waiting for me on the couch with an episode of one of our guilty pleaser television shows that is in it's final season. Come on, I mean seriously what would you choose?

Family Birthday Celebration

Aunt Lauren reading a book to Davie, he really loves books.
When we read to him he squeals, talks, wiggles, kicks and basically gets all into it.
Family time! Cute picture
The birthday peeps
Trying some lemon. No babies were hurt in this taste test.
It took him a second to figure out it was sour. He is old enough now that he is super into grabbing EVERYTHING in his reach. It's been lots of fun to give him little drops or tastes of regular food and see his reaction. I'll be trying rice cereal some more this upcoming week.
Lauren held Davie for almost all of dinner, thanks lady! It was so nice for David and I to have our hands free. Davie was SUPER enthralled with a young lady wearing a bright orange sweatshirt (that is what he is staring at), haha he stared at her until she left. Thanks again Mike and Lauren the visit and the food was great we just wish you could come our way more than 2 times a year.

To the Zoo!

About a two weeks ago we got a visit from David's brother and his wife. It was great! Mainly because that meant I had someone to hang out with during 2 days of David's studying AND an extra pair of hands who were more than willing to hold and help with Davie.
Chilling with Uncle Mike

Uncle Mike being so nice and helping Davie to get ready to go to the Zoo!
I just recently got a zoo pass. It took a while to decide if it was worth it but as long as we go 4 times a year it should more than pay for itself. I am also excited because that means we will FINALLY get to go and see the lights at the zoo this year for Christmas. When we got to the gate I wasn't sure how nosey or picky they were going to be about letting me in with 2 visitors so when they asked I just said "family and my sister". Hah, I was glad they didn't ask anymore because I wasn't too excited about having to outrightly lie. After all my husband wasn't there and we were only trying to get 3 adults in on a family pass, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that seems reasonable.

The bears were out and moving but they were pacing... so still kind of boring.

P-town

Our last days with family were mainly spent in Utah because all of David's siblings are down at BYU.
Snuggling with Great Gradnma Johnson one more time before we left IF

I got to meet up with my cousin Suzy at Melina's in Blackfoot, which was AWESOME! She has been going to school in Twin Falls so I was worried I wouldn't get to see her. Then to make things better her Mama came too. Love my family.
Hate this picture of me but wut ev. I was also worried to see if David's family would like Melina's, it's one of my most favorite Mexican restaurants. When you show people a new place that you love it's always kind of a lot of pressure to see if they like it. You don't want them to try some place you love and have them hate it.
having fun with Uncle Mike and Grandma, he was just BARELY starting to smile during this trip and we got to see a couple this night.
Chillin like a dino
fun with Uncle Brian
Sleeping on our hotel bed
After his morning bath
This was after the infamous car diaper change incident. Let's just say we had  every kind of leak known to man and then once we had that under control he spit up all over himself... ahhh, the joys of babies, no?

A Warden Vist

I am soooo behind! But before I get anymore caught up I need to write about David's parents visiting. That's right, just in case you didn't know the day my mom left David's parents came and spent a little more than a week with us. So we got spoiled for almost a whole month between both sides of our families coming to visit. Right before their trip David's dad fell on ice (after snowboarding) and broke his ankle. The whole time they were here Deidre kept telling me that her baby was bigger than my baby :) haha it was funny.
First encounter
Already napping together
so tired
While they were here Davie used his swing for the first time and had his first real bath.

We went and got some professional pictures of Davie while Grandma and Grandpa were here.

The two babies
David 3 kept saying Grandpa to Davie, he wants it to be his first word. In fact when we facetimed the other day he said grandpa a couple dozen times then too. I'll meet you half way how about grandpa can be his second word? Ok?
We were writing out baby announcements and Davie was making some pretty cute faces. He was also half asleep and had the hiccups poor boy.

your eyes are getting heavy
 must.... sleep...
I wish I had more pictures but I don't. As I have been uploading these pictures and looking at Davie I can't believe how much bigger he has already gotten!
