Partyin' Partyin'

That is what we do when David's family roles into town, and for those of you who know them can you blame us? No way! David's Mom graciously drove their BIG green van all the way across the country towing a car just for us. We would also like to send a HUGE thank you out to David's Grandma for the car and for coming along to visit little old us :) We had lots of fun and it was good to see everyone. David and I never go to movies and we always get to see at least one when we hang out with his family. Also the extra storage units they bought us sure are great to have. We set them up last weekend I'll have a post up for that soon. I think what will be most fun is when David's parents come out right after my Mom leaves in February. Both times they have come to visit us they haven't been able to stay too long and it will be awesome to have them here for a whole week!
At David's new favorite restaurant PF Chang's. I'm cool with his Dad's face I just wish he would have told us so I could have joined in! I don't know why David's grandma and grandpa aren't in this picture but they were there too. Davids Grandpa even came along and he did everything thing with us, he was a real trooper!
This was on a van at the parent's hotel. So cute, little AT-AT family sticker! This made me think of my brothers when they were little, they were obsessed with Star Wars and they still have several (hundred) of these at our house.

October Conference 2011

My lovely chubby pregnancy face
I won't even say it's better late than never after this post you can just think it from now on when you read posts that are older than a week or two old. So Conference, wow it is always so GREAT! David struggled on deciding which sessions to watch because of his intense quiz schedule that takes away his weekend but he managed. Pretty sure I have mentioned this before, but we have made it our tradition to go to PF Chang's between the Saturday sessions. Mainly because we can only afford to eat there twice a year. We have only done it three times (including this year) but it is a fun tradition. Also this time we managed to find some friends to join us, nothing better than our favorite Chinese food and some great friends right!? Also it helps that they have the cutest baby ever, she is so funny, and the perfect distraction for any sacrament meeting ;)
Here they are, thanks for joining us!
Sorry Lindsey for posting pictures of your hubby being silly, but it makes me feel better to know that I'm not the only one who has to take two or three pictures to get a normal smile from the hubby.
Haha this one cracks me up, HUGE CHEESY grin!

90 days!

Since I have become increasingly tardy on all my blog posts (and just about any other event that isn't consistent, YW presidency meetings, visiting teaching, oil change appointments, you name it I'll forget it) I figured I would make sure to post this BEFORE today was over. I was going to start this chain from 100 days but it just didn't happen so instead it started from 94 days, once again my only excuse is better late than never. I had it strung all over by the door so that when David came home the other day he wouldn't be able to miss it, literally.
Even though it took me almost all day to pick out paper, cut it into strips, number the links and then tape them together, ripping one up every night is still lots of fun. Also if you look at the links on the right side of the picture you will notice that they are a little chunky, haha. Fatty chain links were completely unintended and I had to cut the remainder of my strips of paper in half so that they would look like a chain.
Also today we had a doctors appointment. Everything went well I am measuring 1 week ahead but I am within a pound of where I was at this stage with Colin so I'm not worried. My Dr is thinking about doing another ultrasound for his own records which means we might get to see Baby Warden again before he/ she is born, BONUS! Today my Mama officially bought her plane tickets to come visit in January for 2 whole weeks, AND David's parents will be here the day after she leaves, it's starting to get exciting :)

25 Weeks

I promised myself I wouldn't post this more than 6 days late... oh well!
I love seeing everyone else's pictures when they are pregnant but I really dislike seeing my own, haha and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way. After all it's a struggle to see picture proof that you are in fact gaining weight and beginning to look chubby. The other thing that I am jealous of is the ladies who seem to have that perfectly round belly. Mine takes way to long to be round, like right now as soon as I put on those maternity pants it makes my tummy suck in a little (you can see that in the first picture) which makes it look lopsided or something.

I think the biggest difference between this stage last time and now is I do feel like I am hungry ALL the time, it's killing me! I am still trying my best to not just gain un-necasarry weight but that really makes it tricky. I try to drink lots of water to help off-set that hungry feeling and junior (that is the nickname I use it is a little boy-ish but that is what my parents called me too) HATES it. Every time I  take a drink of anything cold I can feel baby wiggling all around, I don't' remember Colin doing or reacting to anything I ate other than giving me heartburn, especially that immediately. Oh and junior loves to kick my insides around until I get David to put his hand on my belly. No joke, I have started having him do it whenever baby gets a little too busy in there and it works like a charm. Then baby is a perfect angel, it's the only thing that has me thinking that junior might be a junior miss. Either way I like to think that David already has a calming touch when it comes to our baby, it melts my heart.
Isn't' this THE Cutest little froggy blanket ever! My fellow Young Women's leader made this and one for the other leader (she is only 2 weeks behind me). I LOVE it and it's perfect for a boy or girl. All I did was mention how cute the material was at our quilting activity the week before and at our meeting the next week she had two all done! What an awesome lady :) Another thing I think is exciting is as of 25 weeks if something had happened our baby would have had a 50/50 chance of making it. It's a scary thought but it's also an achievement, and as of this week the odds are closer to 80%. Knowing that you have reached a point of success makes the whole experience seem more real.

I have managed to switch doctors, which was an adventure. It was also really scary because we had to be sure our insurance was good, obviously if we have it (and have paid for it) we need to go some where it would give us the biggest bang for our buck. My friends and ladies in the ward told me the doctors they were using and after searching our insurance website for what seemed like hours I found a couple that matched and narrowed it down from there. After my first appointment I wasn't automatically impressed but after thinking about the discussion we had I decided our new doctor will do great. The main thing I have noticed about him is that he seems to have the same policy about all this baby stuff I do. And that policy is a laid back, take it as it comes kind of approach. The other place I was at just seemed like they had ways of doing things and they wanted me to do what they wanted. I'm sorry but I was not about to fight (that's a strong word but the best to describe my issue) or argue my way to get what I felt like I want/ need, IF the things I want are reasonable.

Lastly, after David's parents visit this weekend we now have some outside storage that we can use to relieve the second bedroom of STUFF. So that means I will be doing my best to get a picture of our nursery on here sooner. Although there may not be a crib in the room for 2 more months, we do have all of the accumulated baby things in the room put away nicely. Oh and David's parents left this for baby, I think we will open some this year and let baby open some next year. I think they are a little excited :)

School, School, School

Pretend I started this last Sunday, mainly because I did.

That pretty much sums it up. David has a quiz every Monday which pretty much robs us of weekend enjoyment and I have had a Math quiz about once a week. David has managed to keep his quiz scores more steady while I prefer bombing at least one and then spending the rest of the semester making up for it; literally. Before moving to my math failures I should also mention that David recently received a 97% on a test. I definitely saw the labors that went into that grade, or rather didn't see... him.... for several days.  I'm kidding it's not that bad, but David's study schedule has picked up from last year.

My first quiz I got a 8 out of 20. No joke. Since then I have had two more quizzes that I have managed to destroy at 100% a piece but my overall average is still a B, boo! I just finished my first test on Friday and even though math always makes me paranoid to be hopeful, I am hopeful, so I'm thinking that is a good sign. Oh yea and I have logged away 12 whole hours in the math lab this semester thus far so that has to count for some thing, go me.

Right now (pretend it is now Wednesday evening) I am supposed to be finishing a paper that is due today at 11:55pm. I am basically done but I always get hung up on the conclusion so I am waiting for it to slowly come to me.

Other than that David's Mama is driving out here right now to give us a car! Wow, how cool is that? It's funny because it is also a Camry and it is the same color as the Camry we already own. The only difference is it is about 5 or 6 years older so it is a different body style. On that same note David's dad is flying out as well and will be here on Friday (about the same time as David's Mom) and I have a million more things I need to clean up before they visit our house. That means I can't write a whole lot more for now, sorry folks!
