Docapella Spring Concert 2012

Docapella had their annual spring concert this month and I can't believe it has already been a year since the last one! Crazzy.

It was pretty good, maybe not quite as fun as last year but only because I had already heard all of their songs. However it was nice to really be able to HEAR them haha not like at the zoo.

Here are my favorites from this year. I hope you enjoy them!

Docapella at the Zoo

So far David's Docapella involvement has mainly been after Christmas, he tried this year and last year to go but we were always too busy. 

The other day the gentleman had a show at the Toledo zoo for Global Youth Service day, which meant we all got in for free.

It ended up being REALLY chilly that morning event though it looked fairly temperate outside.

There they are! The sad part about this concert is even though they sounded great the sound system didn't work so you couldn't hear them at all. Not only that but the audience was teens and younger so many of the songs didn't interest them, like Duck Tales (which was awesome!). Good performance... BAD sound system.

Maria's hubby is a year ahead of David, he also convinced David to do Docapella and they are in our ward.

Pizzas! There were literally hundreds of them! We didn't think we would get any at first but there was tons. David kept saying that he had never seen that much pizza in his whole life, it was pretty crazy. 

Then after we swung by a little coffee shop that David won a gift certificate to a while back and got ourselves some free smoothies. I liked them more than he did, they were DELICIOUS! Good Times :)

Dooo Whop

I'm almost not behind. A couple of weeks ago David had his last Docapella concert. Here are some pictures and lower down you can watch the songs they sang. The room they sang in had great accuostics but the recording did NOT capture them very well, but they are still worth watching. Hope you like!

I'm glad that David is starting to relax, and he even did some of the actions in some of the songs! Way to get out of your comfort zone David :)

This Love, by Maroon 5

Slide, by the Goo Goo Dolls. This one was one of my favorites.

This is the Women's group of medical students called Vocal Remedy. Typically I'm pretty bias towards Docapella, but I thought they did an EXCELLENT job on this song, LOVED it! Killing Me Softly, by the Fugees.

Kiss the Girl, from The Little Mermaid. Make sure you watch the guy on the far left side. The funny part about the girls blowing bubbles on them in this song is that the men did it to them earlier while they sang Under the Sea, they were just keeping the score even.

This is their tribute to the 4th year in their goup who is moving on to his internship. It was so funny, I laughed lots.

I'm a Believer- Shrek. In this song David actually acted some things out! He wanted to make sure I posted this one because it was his favorite. Also the guy who is singing it IS actually pointing at his wife, so that is pretty darn cute.

I am posting this one for my Mama because she loves this song. Also this is kind of one of Docapella's main songs.Africa- Toto
