Random Ohio Picture Post

This is some stuff that David and I have been doing out here in Ohio.

We always use our time wisely. This is what is left of my manicure hand I made and used for my test, I realize it has four fingers and not five but I can't remember why we tied off the fifth one. Also I realize this video isn't really that funny it was just late and I was giddy about having just past my tests.

We have learned to share and we love our snack time.

We always encourage good behavior when we are around our friend's kids.

We love to blend! And we have such a great blender it would be ungrateful of us not to.

We have now been to the famous Tony Packo's. Anyone seen M.A.S.H.? This was the place they were always talking about. I can't say it was great but we ate there and now we can say we have. 

We went there after going to the museum of art. The museum had a free tour for the medical students, it was lame. The lady who lead it didn't really tell us anything that the little plaques in front of the pictures/ art already said. David and I decided we need to go back another night so that we can spend more time looking at things the tour guide walked right passed. We are so lucky to have such a big museum near by, that is free I might add.

Recently we got one of these nifty little doo-dads. I love it! We put it in the bathroom because our fan no longer works. Actually it works but it sounds like it runs off diesel and like it might possibly blow up at any moment, haha so we don't use it. Now the bathroom always smells extra good (it didn't stink before). But whenever we walk into the bathroom and turn on the light (for any reason) it sprays, which is great but some times it makes it seem like it's waiting for me to stink up the bathroom, haha when all I wanted was to brush my teeth!

 I made banana bread the other day! I admit I don't really bake, ever, so when I made this I felt like such a good wife! And of course David loves it, it's all he's lived off of since I made it, not because we don't have other food either.

These are left over pictures from when David and I went to Hamiltucky for labor day. 

 This next picture is of the cereal isle at Jungle Jim's. Jungle Jim's is HUGE! They have a very large section where you can go down isles that have foods from just about anywhere in the world. If you are ever close to Cincinnati I would highly recommend taking a peek.

It's been featured on the food network a couple of times for several things, like their bathrooms.

So cute huh? Haha boys never grow up, but they can learn to act like it. I think that is my favorite part about David, he is a little boy at heart but he knows when it's time to be serious.

 This is more what I was thinking when I originally asked him to sit on the "throne."

Thankful List

My top things I am thankful for.

1. Having the gospel in my life. David and I have been reading the scriptures every day since August without missing a day.  We decided to read the Book Of Mormon, I love the spirit it brings into our home and the closeness it gives David and I.

2. An amazing husband. I love you David!

3. All of my family. Mom, Dad, Brothers, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Grandmas, Grandpas, in-law or by blood, David and I have some awesome family.

4. Friends new and old.

5. Our great little house, the lack of shelving drives me crazy but it is cute, clean and in a great part of town.

6. Our car. We just replaced the battery in it so it should run great for quite a while now :)

7. America. I love this country. Being able to drive around it has only multiplied my pride in it and made me more thankful for being one of the lucky few to have been born here.

8. Idaho, my home the place I hope to return to after David's school and residency is finished. I miss my mountains and snow. It has yet to snow here in Ohio.

9. I am thankful for all of the little guys I get to be with in Nursery, they drive me crazy at times and the other half of the time they make me baby hungry, haha. They are so cute and loving!

10. Last but not least being able to work in a Salon. It's not always what I want it to be and I have basically NO clients because I don't know anyone, but I'm trying to be patient and I have plenty of time to work on it.

Columbus Temple

This weekend David and I got to go to the Columbus Temple. I would love to say that it was a great experience but we didn't actually get to do a session. Hah, we drove all the way to Columbus only to find out that I have lost my recommend! I don't know where it went because I had it only two weeks ago when I tried to get into a session after my cosmetology tests. They tried to call all of my authorities and no luck. Also we found out that Saturdays are really busy and we need to call ahead. Every session was completely full, I'm sure they would have found something for us if I had my recommend but no such luck. We were so used to just walking in and going to a session in Idaho Falls that I never even thought to call ahead. Oh well two great things learned!

David just loves to take goofy pictures of me.

 I would like to also mention that David wasn't mad at me for losing my recommend. I can't tell you how many times things like this have happened and he has made it a good experience because of his choice to not belittle or tease me. I know I struggle with forgetting a misplacing things (OFTEN) I'm getting much better but his positive reinforcement is great and I appreciate it on a daily basis. I can't even name how many times I have or haven't done something that I should have and instead of being mean David is kind and loving, which makes me want to change more than him being angry or unkind. I love him!

We have been married for for 135 days, 21 hours, 41 mins, 40 seconds and counting as of today. I am getting more and more excited for when we get to come back to Idaho on our anniversary and be sealed for time and all eternity in the Temple! Only 228 days left :) With David the glass is always half full.

What We Have Been Learning in Nursery

Two Sundays ago we had EVERY child on our roster in class, that's 18 little guys! It was the day of fall back on Daylight savings so everyone was on edge besides. That also just happened to be the Sunday that David and I had the younger half of the kids. Every Sunday we split the youngens in half; younger group is 18 months to about 2 and a half and the older group is about 2 and a half to three depending on when their birthday is.

David playing. He does really well with the little guys, haha, and it is ADORABLE to see him sitting in the little kid chairs with them, or playing on the floor. I hate to say it but he fits right in :) he most especially loves snack time. 

Here is another picture of my buddy she is so cute! She is the 3rd of 4 in her family, so she won't let anyone come near me if she decides she doesn't want to share, she knows how to not get pushed around.

It's difficult to get good smiles out of them, haha or non- blurry faces, they are always on the move!

See! Their mama even dresses them the same! There is a funny story that goes along with this picture. The little guy that has a pretty impressive scab above his eye was sitting on that little chair last Sunday, and one of the older kids was trying to pick it off! Haha gross right? Well big brother ran over and was like "No! Don't do that to my brofver!" Haha then he picked at it a little bit. Lesson learned? You can pick your friends but you can't pick their scabs.... unless you are their older sibling.

 These two little boys are soooo cute! They are like little copies of each other or twins that are a year apart (give or take I don't know their exact ages). After seeing these two brothers and my little buddy I want little toe head babies with blue eyes! They are so stinkin' cute. I won't lie but this is one thing that I thought about when I picked David, "hmmm his hair is light and he definitely has pretty blue eyes that means our kids probably will too!"

This little gal is so adorable. Her voice is like a little disney mouse, all squeaky and cute. One week we she taught us that we have 8 fingers. She counted her fingers on one hand "1, 2, 3, 4, 5..." then the next "6, 7 (she was getting a little jumbled), 8! I have 8 fingers!" 

 My buddy and this little gal in the pink were fighting over a certain baby-doll one week, so we offered her another one because there's 4 but they all want the one that has pink pajamas (oy vey), nevertheless This little lady refused any alternative and cried while she put together the train track. That is when this guy 

picked up two of the dolls and began to play with them and he did such a good job! He didn't put them down the whole time we were in the playroom. When it was time to switch for the lesson, I told him we needed to put the dolls down so we could go to the next room and he exclaimed "No, I can't because I love them!" haha, sooo cute! Lesson learned? Boys can love dolls too :)

This guy is a sweetie too, his little sister is in there with him but she is in the younger class. Just about every time the classes combine at the end to clean up and blow bubbles he will run to her and give her a big hug, such a good big brother.

Having some fun

This guy has a twin brother separated by a year or so too. Also two big cuties. His little brother is the most lovable crier! He looks like a cartoon. He has it down pat, quivering little lip and watery little eyes. David mentioned that to me one Sunday after church and I was like "yea he is!" Then David goes on to say "I hope our kids aren't that cute or (I'm waiting for him to say some thing like he will always give in or he won't ever be able to punish them etc) I would want to make them cry all the time." Haha, oh I am in for fun times with our own kids.

SNACK TIME!! I have learned that this is my favorite time too, except on fast Sundays. Fast Sundays make me and David grumpy, haha it is so hard to not eat. I find myself almost eating crackers the whole time on fast Sundays, I have to tell myself no.

 Another lesson. You only give them like a tablespoon of water. I already kinda knew that, but some are better at not spilling and others dump it out on purpose. David was filling the cups up a forth of the way at first but he QUICKLY found that giving them a LOT less is easier for cleanup, haha it's a quick learning curve.
