3 Months

My little baby is no longer in his 4th trimester! He is now a real baby and not a newborn (sad face). At his two month appointment he weighed 11 pounds 8 ounces (finally more than his dad at birth) which was in the 25- 50 percentile and he was 21 inches long, which is only in the 5th percentile or lower.
When I told David this he kept mentioning it so I finally asked him if it bugged him. He said "yes, he's like a midget" haha so kind. I'm ok with it because the kid is a crazy man about his food and keeps me plenty busy feeding him so I am most definitely not worried. He grew out of his newborn diapers at about a month old and he is now in size one. If you check out his little rolls on his fingers and his chubby little face I'm pretty sure you will agree that the boy is just fine in the growth department.
Every body loves his hair, including myself. The only thing I don't like is how everybody calls it a faux hawk and I guess it kind of is but it reminds me more of a Kewpie doll. The faux hawk may be stylish but the Kewpie doll is much more baby appropriate.
What is there to say about Davie? He is a super happy boy in the morning. When I finally manage to wake up and I really look into his bassinet to get him out he is all smiles, just grinning ear to ear. This is also the best time to hear his little squeals and cooing. The boy loves to coo and it is music to my ears. I am not a morning person but if he keeps this up I will be.
Along with his cooing and squeals he loves to flail his arms around and kick his feet. I love the little rustling sound his bassinet makes while he does it. The other day while I was doing my hair I could hear him talking to himself and making the bassinet wiggle while he kicked his legs. He has decided he doesn't really care for tummy time anymore. I think it's because he tries to keep his head up the entire time and refuses to rest it, which is ironic because he likes to sleep on his tummy.
I've thought a lot about how many pictures we take of him lately and to be honest my main thought is how sad I am going to be when we start having more kids and I can't take as many of them.
My only regret is that we don't have the money to take him to a real photographer. We did go to one that didn't have a sitting fee and he did ok but I wasn't impressed enough to use him again.
Something I like about babies in general but most especially about Davie is that little diaper crinkling noise you can hear when they move, I have always thought that was so cute.
Every once in a while when I have the camera going he will stare at it really good and in this picture it looks like he is actually pointing at it.

Davie still loves his bath. Something that makes me giggle about it though is he always seems to just lay there on his bath sponge and not just when he is tired. He never seems to get excited or kick and splash. Apparently bath time is a very serious affair.
I like this one and I love it when he smiles at me. He has recently gotten much better at night time but has become a little more fussy during the day but I am hoping its just a precursor to teething.
He still gets called a girl fairly often. I try my best to dress him in boy clothes but I have decided (and people have mentioned it) if people think Davie is a girl it's much better than someone thinking a girl is a boy. The other day we went to dinner for date night and our waitress just starting going on and on about how she doesn't really like babies and that she finds them kind of creepy sometimes but Davie was so cute she couldn't even believe it. We tipped her well.
He's starting to suck on his bottom lip, just like I did when I was a baby and just like Colin. It's something that only started just this last week but now that he has discovered it he really likes it.
Ahhh, I stare at him all the time! The only time of day that is still a bit of a struggle is bedtime. I do it to myself because I hold and play with him too much all day long. Then when dinner time rolls around and I need to have him be good by himself he is already crabby because he is getting tired and he doesn't want to be alone.

He is probably one of the cutest babies I have EVER seen. If you're ever in the Idaho Falls/Logan area I'd LOVE to be your photographer (hint hint) :)

Such a cute boy! I was looking at the pictures on the side of your blog of Davie and how he has grown in the last three months. I can not believe how much he has changed...and he just keeps getting cuter.
