Cali- To the Beach

Rather than wait to get the pictures from our night at Shrek the musical together I will just skip to the next day. I decided not to take my camera that night because that way I didn't have to carry it around :)
So the next day was a free day and we all got to do whatever we wanted!
David eating an apple for breakfast. Which is pretty darn good considering that our hotel's idea of a main breakfast staple was doughnuts.... ugghh don't even get me started haha the only other choice was un-packaged cereal so it was stale, toast, little cheese cubes, coffee and waffles. I was pretty hungry by lunch everyday we were there.

So we were in Cali... where would we go if we had free time??
We went to the BEACH of course!
Such a pretty day

Toes together
Watching the surf
the water was COLD!
Haha brrrr! This was when I decided I wouldn't actually swim, I just watched David.

Not the best picture, but it IS in front of the ocean ;) that makes it worth sharing
The little dot by the pier is David.
Chilin' on the beach, GREAT day to do it! It wasn't scorching hot or too cold. Lazy beach day, ahhhh.
HUGE seagulls that kept acting like I had food and getting to close for comfort, haha SCARY!!

The day ended with me getting a SUPER awesome bright purple purse, eating at Panera (my FAV!) and doing some more hanging out at the hotel with David's fam. At one point while I (and David maybe even more than myself) was diligently looking for that prefect purple purse with 3 inside pockets and one zippered one, I looked over and saw David carrying 3 or 4 possible purses on his arm. It made me giggle but I love that he cared so much and got so involved, VERY man-ly AND sweet. Looking back I should have taken a picture of him being so sweet because I easily could have but I didn't :(
This purse is one of my MOST favorite ones I have probably EVER had! And I get SOOOO many compliments, so really David did a great job.
cute little side pockets. Oh and I won the competition to get the lowest price for an item. The lady was saying $28 and I paid $25. It was a good deal.

Oh yea and hanging out at the hotel may have but most certainly include a small "Do you know what it feels like?" (you know the ping-pong song by Enrique) dance/ singing party! Haha THAT was one of the best things I have ever experienced with David's family hahaha AWESOME.
