Recently Verizon has FINALLY announced that they are getting the iPhone! Hurray! So I go online and start looking at plans David and I could get. About 20 min later I realize this is going to be expensive. Just for two of us to have two regular phones on a shared plan we are looking at $70- 90 bucks, depending on if we want a 10 friends and family dealeo, taxes, fees, blah, blah. On top of that David has to have a smart phone once he is a 3rd and 4th year medical student, translation? +30 bucks to that. Umm .... wow! I knew it would not be cheap but I was hoping for a little less. Verizon is basically king around here. With AT&T David gets pretty good service but I almost always have more bars. Also my whole family has Verizon and most of my friends so that seems to be the realistic choice.
But this is my real dilemma, (call me selfish) I want an iPhone too! I love my iPod touch but it doesn't have a camera or a phone on it, a crystal clear retina display, or the internet if there isn't free wi-fi somewhere near by that I can leech onto, the iPhone does. Just thinking about only carrying one device makes me smile inside. Of course I would still want to carry my real camera for the most part but if I forgot it occasionally I would still have a 5 megapixel camera on my phone. My first thought is "Yes! Me too, me too! I would love an iPhone" then my second is something like "holy crap, our bill would be huge! How would we pay for it?!?" the truth is by the time we add my phone the bill would only be $30 more. Is $30 enough money to make or break a cell phone choice? Hopefully you guys can help me by voting, and feel free to leave any input you feel important because there are many many factors when it comes to buying a phone and a cell plan, and I always love a second opinion. My poll is in the top right.

I don't have Verizon. I go through Sprint and we made it so that Tim could have the 'fancy' phone and I got a phone that has the ability to add internet and bla bla later if I want to. I have yet to want to. My life feels nice without a hundred more ways for people to contact me, and thousands of useless games. I'm way more productive in my day without a phone to tinker with hahaha. You'll be fine!! I say if you reeealllly want to spend $30 on yourself, spend it on something way more worth it.
$30 a month I mean haha.
Hmmm, well... I know where your at. I love how Verizon has pretty good service, but they are soo pricey! I almost just wanna go get a house phone... but cell phones are so nice when your not home, haha obviously, and I like texting and my mom is funny and sends me pictures of the family and random stuff... but I hate spending $140 or so on the dang phone! and thats not even unlimited mins! just 1400 mins, and texting. I kinda want to go over to sprint cuz I could do unlimited mins and texting for bit cheaper, but dont want to pay cancelling the phone plan, and yadda ya... so I'm just stuck with what I have. So good luck! I would like an Iphone too.. but just a bit out of my pocket money right now.
