Flowers

When I originally picked daffodil's as my wedding flowers, I did it to be unique, fun, and different, but the more I read about them the more I realized how completly perfect they were for me as my wedding flowers. Here are some things I learned about daffodils, then you can tell me whether it was fate that brought me to them (hehe). I highlighted the words that stoodout/ applied to me and David.

*The daffodil is the March birth flower. Daffodils have the flower meaning of rebirth, respect, regard and unrequited love. The daffodil is one of the first flowers of spring, therefore it is a symbol of rebirth

*The daffodil is the emblem of Wales and is worn on St David's Day (David!). For spring flowers the daffodil is one of the best bulbs to plant. As the daffodil is one of the first flowers of spring, it has the flower meaning of hope.

*Yellow is the color of joy, it stimulates creative and intellectual energy. It brings clarity to decision-making and improves concentration.

*Men usually think of yellow as a childish color, but everyone sees it as the color of gold, sun and energy. (David didn't think so he thought they were cool, like Alice in Wonderland, and went on to call them the fun trumpet-y ones)

*Yellow combines well with nearly every other color. It has a wide range of tints, bright yellow is by far the easiest color to see - yellow symbolizes summer, warmth and vitality.

*Yellow, as with most light colors, blooms earliest, so is naturally associated with spring. spring boquets frequently feature yellow and white tulips.

*Yellow daffodils symbolize unrequited love, a yellow rose stands for friendship.

*Smiling faces comes to the picture when you spot a bouquet of bright daffodils the color yellow evokes feelings of joy and lightheartedness. Also a symbol of friendship, a bouquet bursting with yellow blooms sends a message of new beginnings and happiness.

Sorry if this was boring, I just thought it was so interesting how well daffodils fit me and David!
