4th of July

Once again I am behind. I also have been doing a terrible job of taking photos this summer. I have decided that I REALLY REALLY want a new and better camera. Basically I'm tired of editing my pictures so much before I can actually use them. Not only is the editing process wasting my life but as soon as I go to take pictures inside or in any kind of dull light everything is fuzzy. This makes my will to take pictures almost non-exsistence. Having said that the 4th of July was a blast, just like last year. For the first time since I met David his family decided to do a slip in slide down the hill, FUN, FUN, FUN!!
All the cousins enjoying the hot day and some cool slip-n-slide time
Lauren and I
David helped with the fireworks again so he couldn't play with us during the day. Thankfully unlike last year David finished on time and was able to join in the evening festivities before the fireworks.
BBQ dinner with my family
My Dad, uncle, aunt and cousin
Me, Brianna, Brandon and David. If you are wondering what they are all holding in their hands its ice cubes, there was a bit of a war going on. Haha at one time David and Brianna had put two ice cubes in Brandon's hood.
After food we met up with David's family at the river to see the fireworks up close

Smile... she decided not to
Discussing why she didn't smile

super fuzzy
And Davids eyes are closed. I just can't win, Oh well.
 HAPPY 4th of JULY!!

Neighborhood Bash

I did in fact have a camera at the neighborhood party this year. Last year all the cute little girl cousins forced David into getting his face painted and when I went to pull out my camera to take a picture, no battery. So alas there is no photographic evidence of David's happy painted face and there was of corse no face painting this year. That being said, this year was a BLAST! I love being with David's family, it's HUGE!! It reminds me of when all of my Dad's family got together all the time when we were little. I miss that so much. So being with David's family brings me back, I just love all the kids running around. This year because Mike (David's brother) is engaged I have moved to interesting person number 2, haha. Last year the little girls were all over me! This year it's Lauren's turn :) then mine if they can't find her. I'm not going to lie the little bit of extra privacy was nice.

We started the night off with newer music until some of the adults wanted to hear stuff that they recognized. Then it happened, this guy started dancing! This particular little video is my favorite. This guy can be quite up tight at times so it was fun to see him let lose a little, I loved it.

Also this video doesn't do his movies justice he was rockin' out!

Dancing the night away
more joining in to dance
At first when his sister joined him he was like "whoa throw off my groove" kinda thing and he wasn't very nice about it, but then he just decided to go along with it.
Very nice ladies
Tyler and Jessica
It was a fun night for sure. I also like that it is not the same night the big fireworks are, that way I was able to enjoy two sets of great firework celebrations. Happy 4th!

Favorite Stuff

Considering I haven't written a random post about nothing recently I decided that I am behind on meaningless posts. As a random side note before I start I would like to say that I am SOOO glad that my visiting Colin post has finally knocked my downeast bashing post from the number one spot. Also the post about questionable cereal marshmallows has moved down one as well, haha I NEVER would have guessed so many people would have read it. That being said I can move on. Recently I have decided I need to make a list of things that I really love. So here it is, no particular order.

1. Family history! In May I pulled out a huge family history chart that was from my great Grandma Hazel and decided I wanted to fill out as much of it as I could. The chart has David and I as the second place and our first kid is first. It's been really awesome to dig up all the names from the church's website but I was also lucky enough to have a little help from David's Granny Lou. She helped me fill in the Warden part of the chart. I feel much closer to our relatives after knowing their names. David and I plan to pretty much only use family names for our kids. I can't tell you how often I correct people when spelling my name and it isn't even that uncommon, there's just 50 ways to  spell it (literally). I'm excited to have names that our kids can have in common with their ancestors as well as be easy to spell pronounce and grow into.
this is before I filled in David's side

2. Clorox/ Lysol house wipes. What can I say? They cut down on my laundry and make everything we use them on smell and feel clean, I just can't live without them. They are great for cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, and I like to use them on/ in the car as well. Great stuff.

3. This one I'm not going to talk about specifically, it's kinda personal, but I will give some comments and a link. It's called the Diva cup. I found out about it over Christmas break on an annoying little add on the sidebar of Facebook. At first I was like, WEIRD! Mainly because they also had washable feminine napkins on the website, which are awesome for ladies in foreign countries but again NOT for me. Then I got to thinking about how much money I could save not buying personal products all the time and decided to give it a try. I should also state that this is as close to "green" or "eco" friendly as I can get. All you amazing ladies who cloth diaper your babies (Julie, Darci and I know there's more) I could NOT do it. Mainly cuz it's gross, I don't do poop, and yes I know that by having children I will deal with poop plently but regular diapers are bad enough. All the more power to the ladies that can. Anyways I've used it, decided I like it but I'll admit there was a sharp leaning curve with it. Never thought I would be able to say I use something like it but its been really convenient.
4. Classical music, and church music. I have always been a BIG music lover. Unlike some people even as a teen I can remember listening to just about everything all the time. Over the last 2+ years I have found myself listening to less and less of anything, even in the car. That is different for me but the other thing I feel that I have changed is that I no longer only listen to soft music just for bed, when I'm stressed or tired. Lately I've been turning it on in the car whenever. I like it. Change is good.
5. Sewing. I have always liked sewing. Ever since I was a little kid I liked the idea of being able to make some thing I could actually use. I can remember on plenty of occasions trying to use my mother's nice sewing machine by myself to do things I probably shouldn't have, sorry Mom. I have decided to try and make a dress. It's going to be pretty darn cute, but as usual I'm having a difficult time keeping it going. I'll do a ton of work on it one day, and then not touch it for a week. Yea, I could work on consistency.

June, Yes Everything That Happened in June in One Post

What has been going on? I kind of want to say a lot of nothing because thankfully David and I have had lots of time to relax and sleep in but that isn't really true. David and I got jobs within a week of getting to Idaho, that was good, and FAST!
some dog torture, poor Tater, but isn't he freaking cute? yes
I don't know what it is about David and small dogs but he just feels the need to put them in vases and bug them a little. I'm pretty sure it comes from being the oldest sibling
Where's Tater?
David's birthday
$$$$

Yay!
cool singing card

We both had our birthdays. Which was another funny story. My parents were gone the week of David's and David's parents were in Cali picking up Brian during mine.

We got clothes and money to help us buy our iPhones. I was bad at pictures there are none on my birthday and only a couple from David's. My birthday present was I got to sleep in really late and stay in the house in my pajamas all day, yup I enjoyed that.
Tater fetching his ball
David learning to crochet grocery bags with my mama

My Dad playing the piano on his iPad, for an hour haha, it's one of his new favorite toys
please throw the ball, look how cute I am, you know you want to
My birthday cheese cake, yum!
no brothers at my party, haha they were at cedar badge
We played settlers of Catan for my birthday. My dad didn't really want to play so he didn't pay too much attention to where he placed his settlements and I felt bad for him. Then he turned into the sheep man, ran the game and won. What a pill!!
Us :)
David's brother Brian has come back from his mission and that was a big to do. It was nice to finally meet him.
everybody waiting to see him
Lauren and I took one of Deidre's signs and put Brian's name over it

Man of the hour
Welcome to your party Brian!
We didn't get any pictures with Brian that night. To say the least he was a little distracted talking to all the friends and family. But it's been fun to have him back and see David with all of his siblings together.
David ran the grill all evening so he was really hot and smelled like burgers and hotdogs. Thank you David for your help with the food. And that is about all the really happened in June, or at least all that I have picture proof of.
