Projects- Post #2

The entrance wall paper project
ugly little border
painfully, arduously removing it inch by inch.... blah!! Also such a mess!
FINALLY all gone
About this point in the removal process we (mostly me) got extremely careless in how much residue was left on the walls from the wallpaper. I figured its a small area way above regular eye level and its not lit very well, besides painted over residue had to be better than the original wallpaper.
No wallpaper
Before, no shelves
After! We put these cabinets in ourselves. They were on super clearance ($180 compared to $300 something originally) at Home Depot so we had to get the floor model, but it was an extra $10 off. I LOVE having more shelves!!!! Thank you David's Mom for getting the super cute polka-dot boxes for on top I love them and they were David approved (I was a little worried they might not be because they have pink on them)
The little metal circles on the pantry doors were dirty (even with a good cleaning) so I decided to paint them brown.
We also put up these shelves inside the closet
These were my idea but David is the one who made them possible. Throughout all of these house projects he has become quite the little Jack of all traits. I'm so thankful for his willingness to go along with all my ideas :)
This corner is what the whole closet used to look like.
Don't worry I put shelves on the right side too
Oh and another one on top. This house definitely is filled to the brim with our "stuff" haha.
The huge hole in the wall.
I guess our place used to have some kind of security system in it but it didn't work anymore so we took out the little box. Right behind this hole in the closet was a BIG old metal box with a million wires and buttons, but not a single thing about how to fix the system or run it. We decided to just pull it all out.
No more hole :)
