Visiting Great Grandma Chris

So far this year Davie has gotten to visit with his great grandma's 3 times! And by Christmas it will be 4. It's such a blessing to get to share him with my family that I love so much.
That being said Davie has been slightly obsessed with Grandma Chris's sweater every time we have visited her, it's pretty funny. If you look close that is what he is checking out in several pictures, at least he was gentle about it :)
Your sweater is so soft! I am going to pet it a bunch, ok.
Whenever Davie is with my grandmas or David's grandmas he always seems to pay really close attention when they talk to him and it's super cute to watch.
The next three pictures are almost the same but they make me laugh because none of them have all three people looking and smiling at the camera all at once.
This is as close as it got, man I love my family!
Four generations... kind of
My dad should be sitting with me but all he wanted to do was take pictures.
There he goes, always going some where, usually trouble.
Then he was listening to grandma talk again, look at his face he pay such good attention to her!
Checking out Grandpa Jerry's shoes
Chillaxing on the floor.... for like 2 seconds
Talking to Grandpa Jerry.
I love seeing Davie with my brothers, it just makes me so happy. Also notice how HUGE Brandon has gotten! Yeesh.
This one is my favorite of them
This was back when Davie was still losing his food like mad and that is why he no longer has his little blue jacket on. The whole time he was with Grandma I was afraid he was going to spit up on her, I'm so glad he didn't! Right before we left Davie had finally looked around enough that he was satisfied to sit still and let great Grandma hold him, it was very sweet.

Celebrating Her Brains Out

When my parents came to pick me up in Salt Lake it was my Mom's birthday week so we went to the Cheesecake factory, her favorite hair place, looked at furniture and whatever else she wanted to do. The woman parties hard! Haha jk Mom :)
The next day after we got home to Idaho Jordan was home for the evening so we went to Famous Dave's, cuz that is where Nana wanted to go. It was nice to go and eat with almost my whole family, except for Brandon because he was at his friend's house. The funny part is the next time we all went out to eat together Jordan had to work so it was the whole family except Jordan.
Uncle Jordan was keeping an eye out for Davie while I went and grabbed a few more things so we could leave.
Yummy lemonade
Davie likes to do this when he is in the carseat, it's pretty cute. Jordan kept asking me why Davie did it as if I knew, haha also funny. Also isn't Jordan so handsome?!
Just chillin' in his baby ride
Brother and Sister, Jordan with the goofy face.
Brother and Sister- nice smiles
There's that birthday lady!! Love these two!!!

Finding Time

First of all I would like to admit that I have had more than enough time to post on here recently but I have lost my will to do so.
The pictures are from stake conference this Sunday. We had to get a couple shots of Davie in his snazzy church get up.
Other than our families I often wonder if anyone even reads my blog anymore and so I have been seriously considering the idea of one post a month, or less. My number one reason for trying to keep up with it in the first place is that I use it like a journal, and we all know how difficult it can be to keep a journal.
I'll give a couple of small updates, since I am on here I figure I might as well. Davie is growing like a weed, I haven't posted his 7 month info yet... and he is already almost 8 months (wha??). I noticed that a post from June called pickles and ice cream was fairly popular last month and I'm sorry to admit that no I am not pregnant and no I didn't think about how that might have sound like an announcement (haha sorry Jaimie :) I could have had a lot more fun with that post if I had realized that. I have started school again, David finished his first rotation as a REAL medical student and he is now absolutely sure he has no desire to do internal medicine. Along with finishing his first rotation he passed his first shelf exam and he is onto psychiatry.
This one makes me laugh because it looks like Davie is trying to get David to let go.
On a completely unrelated note, before this week is over Davie and I will be in a plane again heading to SLC! I am currently taking 14 credits and have become addicted to swagbucks (it's just so easy to let their movies run with the volume on mute!). Our house is cleaner than it has been in goodness knows how long and a tiny 5x5 storage unit is to blame. I kept telling David if we only had one more big closet our house wouldn't feel so cramped or cluttered and I was right. Other than that not too much has been going on. Hope to see some of you in Idaho soon! Also if you read this please comment so I can see if anyone besides my family even reads this stuff anymore.

Maumee Bay

A couple of ladies went to Maumee bay right before summer ended. It was a really beautiful day I just wish Davie hadn't made me an hour late. We didn't stay very long since the other ladies needed to leave and lets face it swimming with Davie is more like sitting.
The second I say Davie down he leaned over and got himself a handful of sand... he is a BOY! Through and through he was magnetically attracted to the stuff the whole time we were there.
Maumee bay is a very pretty place though and I decided that next year I will have to plan better so that we can go again.
Splish splash
LOVE this picture, it's just so perfect, the rolls especially.
Haha his face cracks me up in this one, but I am smiling all right so half and half.
See what did I tell ya? He is totally checking out that mud.
The other ladies and their little ladies. I was the only one there with a little boy :)

7 Months

My baby is 7 months old... he is now one month closer to a year than he is to his birth, and I just can't believe it.
So what is new? At his 6 month appointment he hadn't even gained a pound (although he seriously spit up EVERYTHING I had personally fed him before we go there, seriously the kid soaked his shirt, spit blankie, his onsie and then even his pants) he weighed 14 some thing at 4 months and 14 pounds 14 ounces. Not gaining very much weight had me a little concerned, even though he certainly wasn't starving and the doctor didn't seem worried, so I scheduled a weight check for this month.
We are sitting up better.
We never hold still so monthly pictures are getting more and more complicated and dramatic (lots of crying, mom and Davie).
Thankfully he gained 2 pounds within the last month and I am going to have to say it was the solids. I'll admit I started him a little later than I should have but I started trying solids about once a week from the time he was 4 months on and the kid just wasn't interested so I took a break for a while, then all the sudden he was 6 months old and starving haha. Now Davie is once again sleeping though the night much more soundly just like old times.
He can crawl in every direction but forward, which gets him pretty frustrated.
July was when I was studying for my last CLEP test and that was also when Davie got his first fever. Let me just say this little boy is a bit of a monster when he is sick. He was soooo fussy and miserable but not anymore snuggly then usual so that was difficult too. This little guy is NOT cuddly :( it breaks my heart and I would have loved the chance to snuggle and love on him when he was sick but NO way was he going to do allow that. Instead he was just miserable for 3-4 days and he didn't sleep well. I was really proud of him and myself that he made it to 6 months and some change before he ever got sick.

He still has no teeth but if you look at his face you can see that he has a chapped little face because he is constantly drooling.
Nothing is off limits anymore!
There always seems to be something in his pictures that is blurred, if it's not his face it's his hand, foot or his toy.
I love his sweet little profile.
He sits up like this in his crib and I will go in after his nap to find him waiting for me behind his bars, which always makes me feel kind of guilty.

Love this little boy.
