Blessing Davie

Davie's blessing day went really well and it was great to have our Dad's and both of David's Grandpas to bless little Davie. Here are pictures.
This is Davie waiting to get dressed. He doesn't spit up much but when he does it is when I least suspect it so we did dress him until the last minute and then we made him wear a bib just in case.

After the blessing. Look how tall my little brothers are!

Being calm, for a second
I fed the little guy right before we went to church but by the time we got home he was hungry. However when you have a house full of people who want to take their church clothes off you have to take pictures ASAP. So I am sharing some of the funny faces he made while crying, your welcome.

Haha I don't know why but his little face makes me chuckle, that poor hungry baby! We made him get his picture taken lots.
not as unhappy now
ahhh, if I don't get some food I'm going to die!

We took a break to change and feed him and even though he is sad in this picture he looked so stinkin cute!
All full and worn out
Then we took more pictures, poor boy just wanted to not take pictures he is just like his daddy.

This is one of the little neighbor boys names Jacob and he kept looking at Davie so I finally asked him if he wanted to hold him and he said "Yes!" I thought it was cute how excited he was.
Haha poor boy didn't know what he was in for. Looking over these pictures you might think "yeesh does Davie ever stop crying" but he really was very good that day (and night I might add).

This is Paul he is Jacob's brother and if any of you remember my post about Adventures in Babysitting this is the boy who jumped on the chair at hard hat. He is full of attitude, haha, but when you are 5th of 6 boys in a row you have to be able to hold your own.
This is another brother of Jacob's, his name is Ben. I thought it was so sweet how two of the boys wanted to hold Davie they both did so good and said that they missed having babies at their house. Such good boys.
That is the youngest brother Seth. Davie had a binky in his mouth and Seth put his finger in the little whole and then proclaimed "haha if you put your finger in the hole he nibbles on your finger!" It was soooo cute and funny, I laughed quite a bit.
Here is our little family in the Dengus University T-shirts Jessica got us
Simba pose. David loves this one.
All of these guys right here had to go back to p-town so they all said good-bye to Davie.
Then grandma Deidre got to hold the baby
Odin was gaurding Davie, he is a baby veteran so he wasn't afraid or jealous what a good doggy and what a GREAT day. Thank you to everyone who helped and did anything to help, we love and appreciate you all more than we could ever say!!!

Family Sharing

The way our trip ended up working out was 4 days with David's family and then 4 days with mine. BUT because of brothers and sisters in college and stuff and schedules etc we spent our first 2 days at David's family's house, 4 at my family's, and then our last 2 with David's family again. A little hectic but so much fun! When David, Davie and I woke up the next morning we found out that everyone had waited up until about 1 am the previous night before the gave up on seeing the baby. So we did what any gracious parents of the cutest baby ever would do; we let everyone hold him.

LOTS of love and attention for Davie
As I mentioned previously David's Dad broke his leg about 2 weeks after Davie was born so he was still taking it easy when we came to visit. Check out that awesome pillow! Haha, I just had to take a picture of it, I use a pillow between my knees at bedtime too.
Great Granny Lou. This is later that same day. If you notice Davie's outfit is now blue and green, well that is because RIGHT when my Mama came to pick me up and take me to get my hair done David went to change Davie. That is when the little boy erupted! His poor Dad was like "guys help!" I have yet to see him spit up that much since but lets just say a wardrobe switch was a must after that.
Later that first evening we all went to Stockman's... WOW it was TASTY steak!! It was David and I's first time ever going and we enjoyed it very much.

Smiley frys, aren't they so cute? I was jealous

Grandpa Warden cuts his steak with his pocket knife, haha I thought that was funny, I tried my best to get a picture but I failed. What a great night, it was so amazing to be home in Idaho and see our family. I have started to miss them more the longer we have been gone.

LONG night

I didn't realize how late it was going to be when we finally landed in SLC, it was 8pm MST but 10 our time, bleh! Not only that but we still had some visiting to do. We ran over to David's grandparents house where a bunch of his aunts, uncles and cousins were waiting to see baby Davie.

I really thought the littlest Davie was going to get crabby because I knew he was hungry but he just loved seeing everyone and did such a good job. I think I fed him an hour later than I had planned, he was so enthralled by all the new faces looking at him.

Last but not least he got to see great great Aunt Monty, I love how sour his face is though because he was completely happy by this point and his tummy was full. By the time we finished our visit it was 11pm and we were determined to head back to IF. We didn't pull into the driveway until about 2:30am, Ugh! It was such a LONG stinkin night. Luckily for me Davie was totally out and still slept until 6 am :)

Air Davie

Some of you may not know this but I am terrified of flying I just don't like it. However when you only have a week off for spring break to visit your family you have to fly. The first week in March David, Davie and I came out to visit everyone and get the little guy blessed.
This is Davie guarding our stuff at the airport while we wait. When we went to get on the plane for family boarding the guy at the ticket place made David go back and get a family boarding paper thing. So I boarded and David ran back and forth between the flight counter and the ticket guy 3 times in an attempt to get the paper he needed and in the end he left Davie's suitcase in Detroit... annoying yes, tragic no. The upside was Davie got quite a few new pieces of clothing from his grandmas, have I mention he is the first grandkid on both sides? yup he is and he has made bank on it already. If you are wondering we did get our suitcase back so no worries there.
Davie was a little fussy for take off but that had way more to do with the fact that he was hungry. I fed him and he was a little gem for the rest of the trip.

What a great traveler we have. I must admit I didn't really have any trouble flying at all! I was worried that Davie might struggle with it but he did awesome. I was also really scared to take him were so many people were and have him be uncovered but this trip forced me to do it. In the end it was probably a good thing because now I don't get as worried about how clean public areas are.
This is Davie at the airport in Phoenix. We are both sad because I didn't even think to let our friends, Dannielle and Tyler, who moved there that we had a layover. Definitely some short sightedness on my part (I was really sad!). The upside is that next time we fly I know there is a possibility that we could get a longer layover and have a visit with our friends!
