Updates

I have had alot of questions about how I have been lately. So I am going to interrupt my talk about vacation to give you all some answers. Man I have been having soooo much fun! This summer has been one of the best I have had in soooo long! In fact I was reading my journal from last summer and I had forgotten how awful things were. I'm more happy now then I have been in about 2 years. I honestly never thought things would turn out so well, and while the adoption side of the situation still hurts (often) it's the only part that hurts.

As far as dating goes the blind date I mentioned over a month ago, it went well for all who have asked. It was super awkward though. The poor boy had only been home for 5 days!!! He was still in missionary mode and had the HARDEST time keeping a conversation going. It was fun but he was definitely not on the same page as me in his life and NOT my type (tight wranglers and cowboy boots hehe). I did not think that dating would be this easy. I am very pleasantly surprised. Including the fact that I was able to date before I had Colin, which was the biggest shocker of all.

I think the favorite question from all of my closer friends is whether or not I have been kissed. Haha wow....... no! I am such a pansy! It's terrible if I called myself trigger shy before now is 100x worse and some. I'm not going to lie I have had several extremely close moments but (as Hitch would say) they went their 90 and I couldn't go my 10. I chickened out EVERY TIME (still kicking myself for a couple of those). Including once when I was pregnant (like I said I was shocked), I just couldn't believe what was happening haha I was so scared it was like being 12 all over again bleh! There are a couple of guys that I would like to date more (a lot more) but not one in particular just yet.

The only downside to all of this fun is seeing "people". It's so annoying! Like this weekend when I took a friend to the INL picnic (Jordan was sick so we had an extra ticket). I get out into the field and blam "people". I don't think they saw me, but I saw them. I didn't expect to see anyone there because none of them work at the INL and they are all 25 and older so they really shouldn't have been there. I'm just glad my friend was ok with going the opposite direction. Haha that was a fun day though. It's been SOOO long since I have been around guys that are so awesome, and are actually funny. It's so refreshing to be treated like I'm actually worth something. I'd been putting myself down for so long that I forgot that I actually like being ME.

My best friend got married this last weekend too. I love her so much and she picked the best guy. She even let me do her hair, which if I do say so myself looked aMaZiNg!! I just wish I had taken pictures to post but I forgot. I guess that's all for now and I think that answers most of the questions I've been getting just let me know if I left anything out k ;) I'm working on getting my Vegas and Cali pictures up but it might be another couple of days at this rate haha sorry.
