Dengus

These are the shirts that everyone got for Christmas from David's sister Jessica. I guess there is a website where you can T-shirts for family reunions that say "your last name" University. Well there is some kind of inside joke, I'm not really sure I am completely in on it, that has a guy from Taledega Nights being silly or goofy and it's about Dengus University. So Jessica called the websites phone number to tell them that they don't have her last name (Dengus). And now we all have these shirts :)

This was one of our last days out West and by now his schedule was totally messed up (meaning poor sleep for the 3 of us), so when they woke the boy up to put the onsie on him I was sad. The kid was asleep! They woke my sleeping baby! Haha, oh well we needed a family picture with all of us in our shirts.

Our last days with family were mainly spent in Utah because all of David's siblings are down at BYU.

I got to meet up with my cousin Suzy at Melina's in Blackfoot, which was AWESOME! She has been going to school in Twin Falls so I was worried I wouldn't get to see her. Then to make things better her Mama came too. Love my family.

Hate this picture of me but wut ev. I was also worried to see if David's family would like Melina's, it's one of my most favorite Mexican restaurants. When you show people a new place that you love it's always kind of a lot of pressure to see if they like it. You don't want them to try some place you love and have them hate it.

Christiansen Family Pictures

One thing my family has never been good about is getting family pictures taken. There are pictures of me as a super cute 2 or 3 year old in a super frilly pink dress and then a picture of our family just after Brandon was born and that's it. So while Davie, David and I were in Idaho my mom was determined to get some pictures taken. Her determination paid off and we now have these.

Davie did not look forward for a single one of the group pictures. One of Jordan's friends who lives in the neighborhood came over and took these for us. I am going to blame him for Davie's distractedness. That's right Walker you aren't interesting enough! haha!

The Dentist

On a more random note, while I was in Idaho I got to go to the dentist! I won't say (admit) how long it has been since the last time I went but lets be nice and say it's been while. Somehow I was still on my parent's insurance for dental so I got to get my teeth cleaned.

Nanna taking care of Davie while they finish my teeth. The plus side was I didn't have any cavities and they put new sealants on my molars. Isn't being an adult fun??

When my Dad came home that night he acted all cool and stuff but really he just wanted to hold Davie. I know because he scarfed down his dinner first and immediately picked up the baby.

Uncle Jay Jay

Davie meeting MY Grandma! He was super hungry so it was a good thing I had made sure to have a bottle ready that day. Davie was a good boy for her once he got himself some grub. David mentioned to me the other day that he never really knew my Grandma Chris. It was the first time I ever thought about it but it was true and kind of sad to realize. She moved to an old folks home in 2010 and has been having poor health and struggling with Alzheimer's ever since. Sad day but I love that lady.
