2 Months

Davie's first month went by so quick but this second month seemed like it lasted longer which was a good thing. This is my favorite 2 month picture. Below you will see a small sample of how many it took to get this ONE :)

We have hit the awareness and smiling stage which is a total ball! We love it! Davie has the cutest little dimple when he smiles. He is also beginning to coo and make other cute noises. The day of his 2 month birthday was his first official full church meeting and he did a great job! He slept the entire time and only got fidgety the last 30 min of church. It was pretty funny because about 20 min before relief society let out he was fussing just a little so I gave him his binky and he quieted down two seconds later he let out a nice juicy fart... awkward haha! The lady sitting next to me teased that he was going to get me to the mothers lounge one way or another. It was all good and we made it home in time to feed and change him. Davie has been so good to me (so far) he loves to leak out of his diapers when he pees (stupid Huggies) but we haven't had any real disasters involving poo yet (knock on wood).

He wasn't exactly into posing for us at first
 Daddy helping him
 assume the fetal position!
Everyone at the grocery store, mall, restaurant, Target, Wal*Mart etc always says how cute he is, wants to know how old and of course they always love his hair. However he has been called a girl several times now haha once when he was dressed in a BLUE fuzzy sleeper! We all say it is just because he such a pretty baby, he just has a really sweet face.
Oh, maybe this isn't so bad
 Hi all!
Davie has added a new phrase to his cry, instead of only saying "ok" he now also says "a bee, a bee" as well. Of course his daddy likes to tease him and always asks where the bee is.

That is hair to be respected
Davie can sleep up to 7 hours in a row but usually it's closer to 4-6. He has become a lot less predictable lately when it comes to bedtime which is no fun but it's not his fault we crossed two time zones and then had day light savings shortly after. About a week ago Davie ended up sleeping in our bed almost every night but I put a stop to that. Davie just wants to be warmer and have food readily available right? We all enjoy free refills. Occasionally I have to put him to sleep on his tummy, the little boy loves his tummy! I lied to his pediatrician the other day and said I only ever put him to sleep on his back, I felt guilty about that. I'm sure any mom that has a tummy sleeper understands. I can let him fuss or put him on his tummy. It's that simple just like a light switch but most nights he still sleeps swaddled on his back.
This is the face he makes a lot when he talks to us
The toughest part of the day for me is some time between 8pm to midnight. Give or take this is about the time little Davie just wants to nurse almost non stop... not so fun, not to mention if he starts getting fussy earlier it makes dinner impossible. David has cooked a TON since Davie was born but thank goodness he doesn't seem to mind too much otherwise we might all starve.
I wish I had had a little more time to edit more of these because they are pretty cute, even his sillier faces.
Haha this face makes me laugh EVERY time I have no idea where it came from
smooshy face
Most nights Davie and Daddy sit on the bed while I get ready for bedtime. It is so fun to watch little Davie coo and look at David, I adore those moments. Davie has such a sweet spirit just like his Daddy. There are times during the day that he will get fussy for no reason but when I pick him up he is just fine. Some times he just wants to be loved, Davie is such a cuddly baby! I just love the little boy so much! He is all cute and soft and round right now but he can't go anywhere yet so it's perfect. He has been able to turn his head from one side to the other when he is on his tummy for a long time but he is really starting to get his head up now.
Sometimes I just stare at him, he is so cute I just can't stand it! So I squeeze, hug and kiss him a lot. He always acting like he is being smothered, but he may have a point.
Uh! Holding my head up is tough stuff...
I forgot to mention this in the last post but our crazy upstairs lady neighbor moved!!! Hallelujah! And the new one is great, as far as we know she doesn't smoke or have loud trashy fights with trashy men so we are glad. As for the rest of the building all is quiet but even if it wasn't I'm not scared anymore, if they had something negative to say and they tried to say it to my face I would probably close the door in THEIR face. I love my baby and he is a great tenant they might as well just get used to it.

 I like the little bubbles

A Good Binky Face

Davie is not much of a binky baby. I like to call it his pause button because that is really all it is. Occasionally when he is hungry or fussy we can get him to take a binky and he will calm down for a bit until we can finish whatever it was we were doing and then help him out. In fact there have been many times that as I put the binky in his mouth he will give me this sly little smile as if to say "Come on mom we both know that's not going to work".
BUT I love a good binky face so whenever he has it in his mouth I tend to take pictures of it. These two are some of my favorites.

Chores

Davie is so helpful, he even helps with the laundry.
About 2-3 times a week Davie will have a day where I can't seem to keep food down him to save my life, OR he will sneak attack me and leak in other areas. He just wants to make EXTRA sure that I get to use my washer and dryer a couple of times a week, just for him.
He is pretty proud of that basket of laundry, and yes it's all his, but don't worry this is after I washed it.

This is him pondering how dirty he is going to be for the day.

What I cutie

It's Sunny Outside

Just in case some of you have not read my previous post about the skies here in Toledo, they are grey... often. When David and I came home from Idaho on Sunday we were welcomed with a beautiful sky and about 60 degree weather. This was a big improvement from the cloudy rainy-ness that we had to fly above to see the sun when we left. We had every intention of taking a walk that evening but we laid down on our bed first and all three of us were out like a light! I knew we shouldn't have laid down if we wanted to go on a walk but it felt SOOOO good it should have been illegal.
Anyways today proved to be another beautiful day so we pulled out the stroller, buckled Davie into it for the fist time and ventured out into our neighborhood. As you can see he was over flowing with excitement and smiles to go on a walk. One upside to being home here in Ohio is that we are just about to the real end of our winter, unlike you folks in Idaho who have until almost June :)
Me and my baby :)
This photo made me laugh so much! Haha David is so terrible at squinting when he is in the sun and he looks a little scary in this picture (I love you David it's nothing personal :)
The boys
Once we got outside it was lights out!
Such a beautiful day!!!!!!!
I have a million things I would like to post right now and about 2 seconds to do it. I have officially fallen dangerously behind in one of my classes and our house is a mess, oh yea and Davie is a little piglet who likes to eat as soon as I go to get stuff done. It's like he knows when I am about to do something productive. I could watch TV all afternoon, heck ALL DAY LONG and he could care less but as soon as I put him down to read or get on Blackboard or clean or shower he is hungry or wants to be held. Davie really is such a GREAT baby, I have had enough people tell me that I believe its true but he does tend to be to be fussy as soon as I count on him to be good.
This picture makes me want to cry just looking at it but it also makes me laugh a little, he gets himself so worked up when he gets hungry and NOW is just not soon enough!

The Monday before we went to Idaho Falls he ate EVERY one and a half to two hours... very little got done that day and when David got home I was a little frazzled (we ate at Chipotle that night). Yup its just like they say "Your kids will make little liars outta ya."

Fly Away Home

SUPER early in the morning... like 4 am.
That little bed hog
Using the Moby
He looks so teeny in it.
Plane ride. As we took off that morning I got a little teary eyed, I really enjoyed our visit and I just wish it was easier to see our family a little more often.
pacifier for take off
Daddy was already teasing Davie the moment we got home
What? Is there something on my head?
When I saw these pictures on the camera I laughed my head off, for some reason Davie's faces are priceless!
