That's him! My little dark haired baby who let me snuggle him all day long is now a white haired cruiser with no future plans of snuggling. This month's picture day made me kind of sad because I knew the next time I took pictures of him his age would be double digits. Man, that first year just comes at you like a train!!!
Just like last month we don't have a lot of new life changes, he is still Mr. Toothless and he hasn't started walking. He loves to jabber sometimes if you mimic what he says he will chat with you for a short time but it isn't usually for very long and it often ends with him giggling, possibly smacking you in the face (because he is waving his arms about in excitement of course), or him deciding to suddenly act like he is timid and smile shyly.
The spitting up hasn't really changed I think he is getting a teeeny bit better, but if anyone asks I say not really because I don't want to jinx it.
He is officially cruising and FAST! The kid can crawl across the room to grab any foreign or forbidden object in 2 seconds. Some of his favorite forbidden objects that I just can't seem to keep out of his reach are my phone, the remote, the iPad, any chord, outlets, paper, plastic and really anything else that is NOT his. Toys are not his favorite and he often cries in loud disagreement when I take forbidden things away and replace them with a mere toy. How dare I!?!!
He loves this little duck but he also LOVES the tag on it, figures :)
He is a happy boy, he LOVES, LOVES, looooovvess people. Serious the kid will let anyone hold him as long as he isn't in the room alone he is happy. I think he has shied away from someone besides me maybe? 3 times... maybe? And those times are only when he is tired, I am really hoping this means nursery will be a piece of cake, but I'm sure I am getting ahead of myself AND I am the singing time lady soooo he won't be away from me that much.
The little outfit he is wearing is one of my favorites. When I pictured my first baby I always thought I would have a girl and I think that in some ways it was because little girls only play with girl baby dolls. Also little boys are never really portrayed as sweet and beautiful but as soon as I held him in my arms I knew he was sweet and beautiful. Cheesy much? Well tooooo bad! I tell him he is beautiful all the time, of course I always follow up with how handsome he is but I do that more because of social norms not because I think it's true. Davie is a very beautiful baby, and he is ALLL mine.
These pictures by the window make me laugh because I can hear the noises he makes when he gets up to something that he wants to touch. He makes these little ah! noises. It's not quite a yell but it's louder than your average conversation volume. It's pretty cute.
"What's that Mommy? No? I don't know what no means!?"
What did I say he's a pretty boy.
Oooooo, baby corns
This face is the aggghhh noise, but you have to read it with an upward inflection at the end like a question. AaagggGHH!
King of Drool, nobody does it better.
David taught him how to turn the pages in his board books so now when I read regular books why paper pages I have to fight to keep him from "helping" while I read. He loves to turn those pages!
Davie now pulls himself up on everything, that is new last month he was learning how this month he perfected it.
He is always on the move, don't blink or you might lose him.
But don't worry because if you do the top 3 places he could be are #1- heading down the hall to the bathroom #2- heading towards the kitchen or #3 (and this is the one that makes it tricky) being quiet ANYwhere just out of arms reach touching something naughty.
I love it when he gets going faster than his little body can handle and he nose dives. It's sad but he just looks so cute and he just wants sooo bad to get wherever it is he's going he forgets about gravity.
Every night at bedtime I feed him and I just can't believe how much he has grown and how fast it's gone. There are so many cliches in parenting it's impossible not to repeat them because they are all 100% true. Davie is growing up so fast and I already feel like I somehow missed out on it. Thank goodness for digital cameras!
