Four for August

What has been going on!?! I feel like I have barely said a word on here this month and it's true. Instead of waiting and posting everything in order I have made and executive decision to interrupt our trip to Cali to give you what has happened since we got back to T-town (I just made that up). In the last 16 days since we have been back we have figured out student loans, majors, schedules, insurance, placement tests, campus locales and books.
David and I both started school last Monday! Which officially makes me a Toledo Rocket! Yay go rockets!! And then by last Tuesday the 23rd, I had changed my classes (again). I changed my major on tuesday the 16th which was kind of a bummer because that meant all the cool classes were gone. The plus side was I was able to get into a program that will let me CLEP test out of three of lower level classes. I cannot even begin to describe how happy that makes me! Basically it means if I pass I'll get 30 credits which is equivalent to a year of school. Translation? I'll get credit for going to beauty school, or at least that what it makes me feel like. Not only that but a lot of the lower level sciences that are included in the CLEP test review the things I learned in beauty school. AWESOME!

In the last 16 days since we have been home I have also had 3 doctors appointments. Two with the baby doctor and one with a regular one. As many of you may know I had a cough for about a week when I left the great state of Idaho... well when I got here I still had it. On the 18th I had an appointment and let my doctor know in detail what was going on. This was because I had been coughing for over two weeks and had not really been getting any better; I was a little worried I might have had Bronchitis or walking pneumonia. Either way I had never had it, so I didn't know what to look for. To add to the coughing, the day or so before I had begun to feel a great deal of sharp pain in my upper right lung and directly behind it in my back.

I told them how long, how much and all that good stuff, including the fact that I was indeed taking ibuprofen. To which they said "oh don't take that, take Tylenol." When I told them tylenol didn't help they didn't really say anything else, just repeated no ibuprofen. I don't really recall my previous doctors putting any such ban on ibuprofen, other than to take it sparingly. Also from what I have read online as long as you don't take it in your 3rd trimester you should be fine. ANYWAYS two days later I woke up in soooooooo much pain I couldn't even bring myself to cry because my chest and back hurt so bad. Not only that but I woke up at like 4:45 am, which is a little early. So I took some more ibuprofen. Long story short I got a run around but finally got into the dr. again and was FINALLY prescribed SOMETHING to help me out! Although they did again get mad at me for taking ibuprofen.
My drugs. I don't know if I have ever had three different prescription medicines that I needed to take all at once, so I figured it deserved a picture. I had a Z-pack, Codeine, and the Advair inhaler. I still find it a little crazy that ibuprofen was a "no-no" but I'm allowed to take Codeine... which is an Opiate. Whatever!
This is a really cool stopper deal-y that the pharmacist gave me. Who I might add was really nice and worked with us on one of my prescription's price. Did I mention that when I finally got to the pharmacy counter I found out my insurance was over? Yup it's true. I'll leave it at that but I will say that I was freaking out and now we have it all under control. Where was I? Oh yeah, so this super cool little stopper deal makes it so you can use the medicine syringe to get the medicine out without dipping the syringe in the bottle and getting it all sticky.
Not only that but it looks legit! Haha, I'm not going to lie when I say I feel all cool filling it up with my medicine. Well until I remember that I am the one who has to take it :(

All I can say for my disobedience is this, "I wouldn't have taken it if they had helped me out the first time." Also I feel that because I really needed, and I mean NEEDED all caps, an anti-inflamitory that my behavior was totally reasonable. It's just annoying that they didn't listen to me when I told them, in detail, what was going on the first time. The experience has me a little concerned about how well they will listen to me in the future. Also it sounds like they are anti-membrane striping to start labor (don't mind if you go over your due date), and will wait until your body has the baby itself kind of people. We may not get along. So that was fun.

What else? I can now say I have gotten lost on campus, parked WAY tooooo far away and walked miles to get to my next class. That was a "fun" day let me tell ya. I have also totally BS-ed an assignment because we helped one of my best-est friends move away from us! Also in my defense I didn't have one of the books I needed. I literally got it in the mail yesterday. I was gone all summer and the Young Women's president was gone for several weeks as well. So last week I had an extra long planning meeting. I felt bad because I was sick and had to leave early, but I searched up/thought up some pretty cool ideas for our Young Women in excellence night. That made me pretty happy.

Other than that not much has happened around here, HAH! Sarcasm, gotta love it. Until next time, if there ever is one :) TTFN!!

being sick and pregnant can be painful because of all the drugs that don't let you use. I hope you feel better soon!
And maybe you should consider a new doctor..that is strange they won't consider stripping your membranes. You still have a few months to doctor shop if you need to:)
